In today’s video I dive into a full teardown of our blasting pot after it completely failed on us at Bridlington last week. What should have been a quick Sunday check-up turned into a full workshop repair session — oversized 60-65mm spanners, 8 miles of PTFE tape, moisture problems, blocked lines, vibrating pistons, and even a mystery loose part buried inside the pot.Before that, it’s been a busy day on the farm sorting the cows and scanning them, and by the time I finally got into the workshop it was already 3PM… and I still hadn’t had breakfast! But this machine needs to be working for Monday, so it’s time to strip it down, find the fault, and get it rebuilt.You’ll see everything from pulling the pot apart, inspecting seals, checking air pistons, clearing blockages, and diagnosing what actually caused the problem. I also show how we deal with moisture in the blasting media, why the air vibrator might be compacting the dolomite, and the trick I’m using to warm the media up with the compressor heat.Plus — a look at the massive oak timber sections we’ve just had delivered. We’re back at Ironbridge for the start of a massive heritage restoration and construction project on one of the most historically significant industrial buildings in the UK. In this video, we use a Bobcat E80 excavator to build an access road in a field for farming activities. We start by transporting the excavator to the field using a tractor and plant trailer.
