Stone Masonry & Stone Repairs

Specialist Stonework for Historic and Listed Buildings

UK Restoration Services provides specialist stone masonry and stone repair services for listed buildings, historic properties, churches, monuments, civic buildings, period homes and conservation projects across the UK.

Our skilled stonemasons carry out careful repairs to natural stonework, including indent repairs, ashlar repairs, rubble walling, carved details, copings, cills, lintels, steps, plinths, string courses, quoins, chimneys, boundary walls and architectural features. We also undertake the replacement of damaged or missing stone, matching new material to the original stone as closely as possible in colour, texture, durability and appearance.

Wherever possible, we aim to retain and repair existing stone rather than replace unnecessarily. Our work can include cutting out failed masonry, piecing-in new stone, resetting loose stones, rebuilding unstable sections, lime mortar repairs, lime pointing, mortar matching and associated masonry conservation.

We work closely with architects, surveyors, conservation officers, heritage consultants, local authorities and private clients to deliver stone repairs that are technically appropriate and visually sympathetic. As an experienced restoration contractor and principal contractor, we can deliver stone masonry as a standalone package or as part of wider heritage restoration works.

Our stone masonry services include stone repairs, replacement stonework, lime pointing, wall repairs, carved stone repairs, masonry conservation, stone cleaning and listed building restoration.
