What we are looking for:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced joiner who is able to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have a good work ethic, good communication skills and excellent organisation skills. This role would suit someone who is multi skilled in other construction disciplines working on site. Duties will include:
- 1st and 2nd fix work.
- Repairing timber frames and roof trusses.
- Splicing rotten timber ends on trusses, purlins etc.
- Repairing historic windows, doors.
- Roof timber work, valleys, replacement rafters, skylights etc
What you need to have:
- NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent
- Previous Experience in the Heritage sector an advantage
- Experience with Workshop Machinery an advantage
- Other trade skills would be of an advantage
- The ability to work from own initiative or as part as a team
- Great attention to detail
- Able to manage workload and have work completed on time
- Excellent awareness of site health and safety
- CSCS card (preferable)
- Own tools & equipment
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven track record
- References / Portfolio an advantage
